Notice of Public Hearing Proposed Zoning District – Lower Yaak Lincoln County hereby gives notice that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at 1:30pm, or soon thereafter, in the Commissioner’s Room of the Lincoln County Courthouse located at 512 California Ave., Libby, Montana to inform the public and receive comments on the proposed Lower Yaak Zoning District*. This proposed Zoning District would apply to approximately 483 acres of private land across 16 parcels located between the 1.3mi and 2.3mi markers of the Yaak River Road (MT HWY 508). The district proposal was initiated by landowners located within the district who met the petition requirements of a Citizen Initiated Zoning District under § 76-2-101 MCA. The general intent of the district is to address concerns over the effects of potential future development that could impact the current rural residential and agricultural character of the area and would impose certain restrictions on defined commercial and industrial uses.
