Libby High School students pass welding test

| January 26, 2024 7:00 AM

Tuesday, nine Libby High School students passed their G1 American Welding Certification Test.

Instructor John Love was more than pleased with Tuesday's results that were judged by Certified Welding Inspector Mort Hill.

"I am very proud of the dedication and hard work every student displayed. This group of guys has what it takes to persevere in any field they choose," Love said. "I think the only thing that will make me happier is watching them all pass the AWS G3 Test in the spring. Great job guys."

Those taking the test included Adam Stufflebeam, Khonnor Peterson, Garrett Place, Joel Goodman, Connor Benson, Talford Ungren, Gabe Gier, Riley Orsborn, Jason Quintanilla and Jaylor Weilacher.

Love and his students have been involved in many community projects. They built a bike rack and installed it at the Libby Chamber and Visitor Information Center five years ago.

They also made the steel sign and chain saw cut outs for Logger Stadium.
