Rick Alan Davis

| January 19, 2024 7:00 AM

Rick Alan Davis, age 62, passed away on Jan. 11, 2024, in Whitefish, Montana of natural causes.

Rick was born on May 2, 1961, to Martin and Muerial Davis in Libby, Montana where was also raised.

Rick enlisted in the Army at age 18 and served until he was 21. He was primarily stationed in Colorado but got to see many places in the world. One of his favorites was Germany. While Rick was in the service, he honed his own skills as a mechanic.

After Rick’s time in the service, he did many things including carpet laying, logging, mechanic work, body work, stereo installation, boiler mechanic and being the world’s best babysitter.

Rick had a great love for knives, from building to collecting them. He didn’t care what size they were. He loved them all. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, and sharing his hobbies, ranging from gold mining, mechanic work and bajaing around in his souped up ’66 Bug. He spent many hours hunting with his father. Rick always wanted to share his excitement for his multiple new interests he had found online.

He is survived by his mother Muerial Davis, sisters Kim Davis, Jackie Baker and husband Jesse, Toni Fetter, and brothers Delmar Davis and Marty Joe Davis and wife Cindy. Nieces and nephews Jessi Nelson, Jason Nelson, Caitlynn Lundin, JoAnna Jenkins, Ashlee Baker-Davis, AJ Sheasby, Tamara Krueger, Devynn Fetter, Colton Davis, Heather Davis, Kayla Sundberg, Cody Nelson, Chelsie Nelson, Travis Jenkins, Sophia Krueger, Nicholas Sheasby, Hazel Sheasby, Antonio Davis Alarcon, Briella Nelson, Everleigh Nelson, Luke Brosten and many cousins that were like brothers and sisters to him.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. There will be a continued celebration of life lunch at the Sykes basement from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
