Kay Collogan

| January 12, 2024 7:00 AM

Kay Collogan, 83, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on Oct. 30, 2023.

She was surrounded by family and slipped away peacefully. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, the love of her life, in 2022.

Kay and Joe were inseparable during their 60-year marriage until the last two years when Covid and incurable neurological diseases kept them apart.

Kay spent her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also had a long career as an elementary teacher, touching the lives of many Libby families through her work in the classroom.

Kay loved to read and organized many fun-filled family camping adventures. In later years, she spent countless hours mastering the use of her computer.

Kay is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Wilbur and Vicki Loberg, their husbands, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held in June (exact date, place and time to be announced later).

In lieu of flowers, Kay’s family asks that you honor her by thanking a teacher who has influenced your life in a positive way.
