Cabinet Peaks announces appointment of CFO

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Leonard as its new Chief Financial Officer. 

With an impressive background spanning over 25 years in finance, Leonard brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record to the CPMC Administration.

Leonard holds a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting from Lewis-Clark State College.

Furthermore, she possesses two Master's degrees – one in Business and Finance and another in Health Care Administration – both obtained from Salem University in Salem, West Virginia. 

Leonard is a certified CEO through the National Rural Healthcare Association's (NRHA) accredited program and has successfully completed the Controllers Certification through the Institute of Finance Management (IOFM). In addition to her achievements, she contributes to the field by teaching the NRHA accredited CFO certification class.

Before joining Cabinet Peaks, Leonard served as the Chief Financial Officer at St. Mary's Medical Center near Kansas City, Missouri, overseeing financial operations for a 186-bed hospital. Her comprehensive background includes significant experience in both manufacturing and healthcare sectors, with a specific focus on critical access hospitals.

Leonard expressed her commitment to ensuring that CPMC is appropriately staffed and that team members receive adequate training and support. She emphasizes the importance of educating department managers and enhancing leadership skills to foster a positive and productive work environment.

CPMC has been patient and diligent to find the perfect fit for the CFO position.

An extensively traveled individual, Leonard has lived in 41 states, including Japan and Hawaii. Celebrating 19 years of marriage to a Hayden, Idaho native, she is a proud parent to two daughters, enjoys the company of grandchildren, and has a step-son – all residing in Hayden. 

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Leonard and her husband embrace activities such as hiking, biking, working out, kayaking and anything that allows them to appreciate the great outdoors.
