Polson, CFalls register wins over Libby

The Libby girls basketball team battled Polson at home Saturday, but couldn’t find the magic to pull off the upset in a 35-30 loss.

Libby led 2-0 and 4-2 early in the game before Polson was up 7-4 at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Pirates slowly built the lead to 31-22 after three.

Madison Vincent hit two 3-pointers and had a game-high 16 points for Libby (1-14, 0-9).

Kaydence Stanek scored five points, Rachel Kosters and Addy Gilden-Vincent each had three points and Jossalyn White had two.

The Lady Pirates are 7-8 overall, 4-5 in Northwest A.

Thursday at Columbia Falls, the Wildkats rolled to a 67-21 win over Libby.

Rylee Delmas led the Libby with 10 points. Vincent scored eight and Stanek scored three.

Columbia Falls is 6-8 overall and 5-3 in the league.

Libby hosts Whitefish Thursday and Browning on Saturday.
