New companies coming to Montana
Since Gov. Gianforte took office, over 15 significant new businesses have come to Montana and thousands of smaller ones – the most on record.
Congrats are in order to Glendive, Helena and Lewistown who are welcoming significant, new companies - which will employ hundreds.
Most of Montana is booming. One may ask, WHY aren’t Libby (or Eureka) on that list?
WHY have those towns been able to garner economic development for their communities... and Lincoln County has not?
How many millions (much of it tax payer funds) has this county received for ‘economic development’ only to see failure after failure? Where is the accountability from past and present county commissioners and especially the County Port Authority for this situation?
Where is the investigative journalism exposing this? The tax paying public has a right to know.
There may be a few ‘extenuating circumstances’ at play like the utter failure of the U.S. Forest Service to do their job. They are now so paralyzed by law suits and feckless administrators who so fear making any real decisions, that our forests are a mess ... and whole communities may go up in smoke due to lack of forest management.
Accountability and explanations are due the public – not just excuses.
Thank you.
