Manning joins Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness team
Isabelle Manning has joined The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness team.
According to a news release from FSPW, she will oversee its outdoor youth education program, Winter Tracks, and will coordinate outreach events in Lincoln County, Montana.
“In her relatively short time here in Libby, she has already made a number of interesting connections with members of the community,” said Phil Hough, Executive Director of FSPW. “With such a qualified staff person working year-round in Lincoln County, we’re excited to continue expanding and deepening our community in northwest Montana.”
Manning grew up exploring the Bay Area’s rolling hills and redwood forests, but her curiosity led her to new landscapes over the years. After spending the past decade in Oregon, where she immersed herself in both vibrant city life and the state’s natural beauty, Manning found her way to Libby. Here, she’s embracing the vast wilderness of northwest Montana and the welcoming community she now calls home.
With a degree in advertising from the University of Oregon, Manning has built a career around event coordination, vendor management and community outreach. She’s worked with organizations like the Portland Timbers, managing logistics for major events and Vacasa, where she specialized in partnerships and vendor relations.
Beyond her professional life, she is an audio book worm, music lover and crossword enthusiast. She often spends her off hours cooking, crafting and adventuring with her partner, Chris, and their lovable poodle, Storm.
“I have such a deep appreciation for Montana’s landscapes,” Manning saide. “I’m really excited to be able to advocate for these wild spaces and to develop deeper connections with the community here. It’s such a special area!”
