Two people taken to hospital following U.S. 2 wreck

Two people were taken to the hospital following a collision involving two pickup trucks Thursday morning on U.S. 2 in Libby.

Libby Volunteer Ambulance transported two people to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center for treatment of injuries they suffered in the accident, which occurred shortly before 10 a.m.

Libby Volunteer Fire Department members worked to get a man out of a green Dodge 4x4 truck that was severely damaged in the wreck.

A woman in a blue Dodge Ram 3500 with Nevada license plates was also taken to the hospital.

Debris from the vehicles was strewn across the road.

Officers from Montana Highway Patrol, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Libby Police Department were also on the scene to assist.

    A blue Dodge Ram pickup truck had heavy front-end damage following a collision Thursday morning on U.S. 2 in front of the Dollar General store in Libby.
