Libby Library hosting holiday sing-a-long Thursday
The Libby Friends of the Library will be hosting a “Holiday Sing-a-Long” at the library from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
All ages are invited to come sing some of our favorite Christmas carols and holiday songs. No singing ability is required, so even if you can’t carry a tune, come and enjoy the music of the season!
Hot cocoa and cookies will be provided.
Kootenai Forest Stakeholders meeting Thursday
The Kootenai Forest Stakeholders Collaborative is holding its fourth quarter annual meeting Thursday.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held virtually on Zoom. It will begin at 6 p.m. and end at about 8 p.m.

The featured speaker will be David Atkins, the president of the Montana Forest Owner’s Association and a member of the Citizens’ Climate Education and Lobby.
Beginning at 6:25 p.m., Atkins will give a 30-minute presentation on climate change and forestry issues followed by a 20-minute question and answer session.
There will also be updates from Kootenai National Forest officials, reports from committee chairs and an update and report by Doug Ferrell and Zach Angstead.
Angstead is a Collaborative board member, Wild Montana employee and a guiding member of the Kootenai Winter Travel Collaborative, which provides recommendations to the Forest Service’s Environmental Impact Statements.
Libby Logger football players honored
Three Libby Logger football players were named honorable mention on the 2024 All-Western A Football Team.
They include Isaac Lamere, junior wide receiver, Joel Goldman, senior defensive lineman, and Ian Thom, junior linebacker.
Troy's Orr named to all-conference football team
Troy High School junior football player Carson Orr was named to the West All-Conference Second Team in 8-man football.
