Aug. 12

A deputy responded to a call about a mental subject on First Street North, Fortine.

A county detective handled a call about a scam at a Cottonwood Lane residence, Libby.

A deputy took a report about a mental subject in the 400 block of Koocanusa Trail, Fortine.

A theft was reported in the 21300 block of U.S. 2. A deputy investigated.

A noise disturbance involving a woman screaming at a man was reported in the 200 block of Frazey Loop, Libby.

Three officers reported to the 100 block of Three Corner Road, Libby, for a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence.

Several first responders arrived at the site of a traffic crash with injuries on Bull Lake Road. They included Montana Highway Patrol, Troy Volunteer Ambulance, Bull Lake Volunteer Fire Department and Troy Volunteer Fire Department.

A deputy investigated a traffic complaint involving an ATV at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and East Fifth St., Libby.

A deputy responded to a verbal dispute at a local casino in Libby.

Aug. 13

Two deputies assisted a mother retrieve her children with a court order on Osloski Road, Eureka.

A caller reported a DUI crash on Sunday Creek Road near U.S. 93 in Stryker. The vehicle was gone when a deputy arrived.

A report of criminal mischief occurred at the Horseshoe Lake Campground.

A caller said a man was fueling a personal vehicle with red die in the 1000 block of U.S. 93, Eureka. It wasn’t located and the information was passed along to Highway Patrol.

A man having a mental health crisis in the 4100 block of Highway 37 was taken to the hospital.

A deputy responded to the 400 block of West Avenue North, Eureka, for a civil matter involving a man wanting out of his house. He was advised to evict her.

Aug. 14

A driver was cited following a two-vehicle traffic accident that resulted in damage to both vehicles on U.S. 93 near Osloski Road, Eureka. There were no injuries.

An officer and units from Fisher River Valley Fire Rescue responded to a traffic crash with injuries on U.S. 2 at mile marker 57.

A deputy responded to a civil dispute in the 700 block of Farm to Market Road, Libby.

A deputy responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle parked at a gate on private property in the 16400 block of U.S. 2, Troy. A person was told to leave the area by the property owner.

Karren Kay Schmiedeke was arrested for partner or family member assault and transported to the hospital on a mental hold after an incident in Stryker. Four officers and ambulance crews responded to the scene.

A child playing with a phone at a Cecil Drive residence in Troy accidentally called 911.

Multiple responders were called to the scene of a one-vehicle accident in the 2800 block of U.S. 2, Troy. A passenger in the vehicle was ejected. 

A caller made a theft complaint in the 300 block of Sunday Creek Road, Stryker. One item was recovered by the caller.
