Notice for the Second CDBG Public Hearing     The City of Libby, will hold a public hearing on September 3, 2024 at 6:30 PM MDT in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 952 Spruce Street, for the purpose of obtaining public comments regarding a proposed application to the Montana Department of Commerce’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and other programs, as applicable, for replacing the sewer lift station at the corner of Montana Avenue and First Street. At the public hearing, the proposed project will be explained, including the purpose and proposed area of the project, activities, budget, possible sources of funding, and any costs which may impact local citizens as a result of the project. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to make comments regarding this proposed project. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing before 5:00 PM MDT September 3, 2024 to the City Administrator of the City of Libby. The Troy Public schools will soon destroy special education/speech-language therapy records of former students who have been out of school for at least five years. Former students may contact Denikka Miller at 406-295-4520 within sixty days of this notice if they wish to review the files or obtain copies of the information contained in them. The information to be destroyed shall not include data collected on a routine basis that is maintained on all school children (such as the student’s name, address, telephone number, grade level completed and year completed.) The data to be destroyed shall include information collected for identification, location, evaluation, and other items directly related to special education services which the student had received. Parents of students still in school but not in special education for at least five years may also request that their children’s records be destroyed. Parents of these students also have the right to inspect the special education records and obtain copies of the information contained in those records before they are destroyed.
