Libby's Filler named 2024 Montana Notary of the Year
HELENA — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen is excited to announce that Sindy Filler of Libby has been named the 2024 Montana Notary of the Year.
Filler was recognized by her peers Thursday, Aug. 15, during the 2024 Montana Notary Conference.
"Congratulations to Sindy Filler for her dedication to the notary profession and the outstanding service she provides," said Secretary Jacobsen. "Sindy's expertise spans across various industries where she conducts notarial acts for a diverse range of clients. She represents Montana notaries well and is extremely deserving of this honor."
Filler said she initially became a notary nearly three decades ago and was commissioned when the law firm she worked for sought in-house notarizations. She boasts an impressive educational background, including being a certified court interpreter (Spanish/English) and a family law mediator.
In addition to notarizing documents for mediation clients, Filler is also a mobile notary who visits homes, hospitals, detention centers, assisted living facilities, and much more.
She is also a Certified Signing Agent, performing numerous real estate signings. Filler works with her daughter, who is also a notary, to provide services throughout northwest Montana.
"We strive to provide professional services and to uphold and educate our community about notary ethics," said Filler. "We promote notaries as respected professionals and make an effort to offer kindness to each person who needs our services."
"Sindy is an excellent role model for the Montana Notary Public community," added Lori Hamm, the Notary Administrator with the Montana Secretary of State's Office. "She remains committed to furthering her notary education, is dedicated to serving members of her community, and has helped raise the bar in our profession here in Montana."
