Dale Henry Berg

Dale Henry Berg, 92, passed away on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024 at his home in Libby, Montana. 

Dale served in the United States Army for 22 years, fought in the Korea and Vietnam wars, and retired as a Sergeant First Class. 

He hosted 'Pasture Picken' for several years and some might say he was the best banjo picker in the country. 

Dale was born in Nugget, Wyoming on Sept. 15, 1931. 

Dale is survived by his wife Dorothy Berg and nine children, Julie Jardeen, Judy Hurst, Barbara Moore (passed July 5, 2022), Mary Bradshaw, Edward Berg, Denny Berg, Helen Goucher, Roy Berg, Audrey Boatright, and two step daughters Starla Williams and Tammy Curtis Hovland. He had 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Dale H. Berg was a true hero to our country and all who loved him. 

Services will be held at the Libby Cemetery at 11 a.m. Monday Aug. 26, 2024, with a celebration of life to follow at the Libby Pavilion by the river.
