Red Cross blood drive in Libby Aug. 15
The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive Thursday, Aug. 15, in Libby.
The drive will be from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the VFW at 114 West 2nd St.

Shakespeare in Parks in Libby Aug. 15
Montana Shakespeare in the Parks is coming to Libby Thursday, Aug. 15.
The shows are free and open to all ages.
The theater troupe will perform “The Winter’s Tale” at 6 p.m. at the elementary school amphitheater. If the weather is inclement, the performance will be moved inside the school.
“Hamlet” will be performed in Eureka at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Tobacco Valley Historical Village.
It is the 52nd year for Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. The Winter’s Tale, directed by Eva Breneman, spans 16 years during a time when a jealous king accuses his wife of infidelity and exiles his newborn daughter to Bohemia where she is raised by shepherds and, ultimately, falls in love with the Bohemian king’s son.
The tour is funded in part by coal severance taxes paid based upon coal mined in Montana and deposited in Montana’s cultural and aesthetic projects trust fund.

Libby's Heritage Museum is hosting a photography exhibit in the Tower Gallery.

Women’s golf league results
The Cabinet View Women’s Golf played a game of “Lowest Gross Scores on Par 3s” July 31.
Group A winner was Barb Mee and Connie Stantus for Group B. Flight Low Gross was Barb Mee on Group A and Shirley Chase for Group B. Flight A Low Net was Susie Jahn and Connie Stantus on Flight B.
Barb Mee had chip-in for a birdie on No. 9 and Susie Jahn on No. 5.
On Wednesday, Aug. 7, the lady's game of the day was “Add the total gross scores on even holes.”
Monica Bartkp won the game for Flight A and Shirley Chase won Flight B. Nancy Hull, Monica Bartko and Barb Mee tied for low gross for Flight A and Connie Stqntus took Flight B.
Pat Neils was low net for Flight A while Donna Havens and Shirley Chase tied for low gross in Flight B. Barb Mee had a birdie on No. 13 and Dorothy Hintz had a chip-in on No. 10.
