Fraud alert for Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser
U Serve Libby, Inc., the 501(c)3 non-profit organization that built the Libby Community Tennis Courts, has been selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts as a fundraiser for the past 19 years.
It has been a successful fundraiser which has helped the organization all these years through construction and now maintenance of the courts. However, last year something threatened the continuation of this funding source.
It was discovered on the day that the doughnuts were delivered for pick-up by all those who pre-ordered, that someone who was not from our organization had been taking orders and money. Of course, these orders and money were never turned in to U Serve Libby.
U Serve Libby, Inc. wants to warn the public that we do not sell door-to-door. Our members generally sell to people they know. If you pre-order, you will receive an official yellow carbon-copy receipt which you will bring to pick up your order on Sept. 7.
If you are approached about supporting the tennis and pickleball courts through U Serve Libby, and you have any doubts that it is a legitimate, please take the name and phone number of the person selling and contact U Serve Libby at UServeLibbyInc@gmail.com.
We can help determine if it's a legitimate seller.
U Serve Libby appreciates the community's support of this fundraiser in the past and hopes that this 20th year of Krispy Kreme Doughnut sales will be just as successful.
