Libby woman dies after exiting moving vehicle on U.S. 2
A 32-year-old Libby woman died Friday night after jumping from a moving vehicle on U.S. 2 near Happy’s Inn.
According to a report by Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jack Fendt, a 56-year-old Libby woman was driving a Chevy Tahoe west on the highway at mile marker 65.8 at about 10:15 p.m. when there was an altercation in the vehicle.
The 32-year-old Libby woman, the passenger in the Tahoe, was upset and wanted to stop and get out at Happy’s Inn. The driver didn’t want to stop and the passenger exited the vehicle before it stopped. The woman rolled several feet and died at the scene.
There were no other injuries.
Alcohol was a suspected factor in the incident.
