Libby Care Center receives Achievement in Quality Award
The Libby Care Center is one of just four Montana long-term care facilities to receive the 2023 Nursing Home Quality Awards.
Mountain Pacific, who announced the award, said this year’s award criteria were based on a quality measure point system that included decreasing adverse drug events, preventing infection, decreasing readmissions, improving resident vaccination rates for influenza and pneumococcal vaccines and a bonus category that acknowledged nursing homes that were never referred to Mountain Pacific from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for COVID-19 outbreak.
These four facilities will receive the Achievement in Quality Award during the Montana Health Care Association Conference in Billings the first week of October:
Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home
Libby Care Center
Tobacco Root Mountains Care Center
Logan Health – Conrad Care Center
“The dedication, perseverance and compassion in Montana's long-term care facilities is truly remarkable,” said Shay Trafton, Account Manager for Mountain Pacific. “Through a pandemic, staffing shortages and increasing demands, our facilities were still able to provide excellent care to their residents. Mountain Pacific is thrilled to present these awards and will continue to provide access to quality improvement initiatives and partner with our stakeholders to ensure residents receive the highest quality of care possible.”
The Care Center was also honored in June with the 2023 Silver National Quality Award for its commitment to delivering exceptional care and fostering an environment of compassion and excellence.
The Silver Quality award is presented annually by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) to long term care providers that demonstrate outstanding performance and deliver exceptional service.
According to information from the Care Center, it underwent a rigorous evaluation process and was recognized for its exemplary performance in areas such as clinical expertise, person-centered care, staff training and development, infection control measures, safety protocols and resident satisfaction.
"We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our staff members whose unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have made this achievement possible. Their compassion, expertise, and hard work have played an instrumental role in our success," officials said.
