Libby Loggers golf hosting tourney today
The Libby Loggers varsity golf team continues with a very busy schedule and will host the final day of a two-day invitational Friday at Cabinet View Golf Course.
The first day was held Thursday in Eureka at Indian Springs Golf Course. Head coach Dann Rohrer said there are 96 players registered.
"It should be a great start at Cabinet View's first high school tournament with the new clubhouse," Rohrer said.
The golf teams played Monday and Tuesday.
Meadow Lake in Columbia Falls hosted a tournament last Monday.
"Meadow Lake is one of the more challenging golf courses we play but Reece Malyevac had a tremendous day shooting 68 leading the field by seven shots for the win!" Rohrer said. "We had a few other good scores with Easton Peterson carding a 105 while Teague Thompson shot 119 and Addison Skranak had a great score of 123."
Tuesday, the team played in Whitefish where Malyevac again led the way posting a 75 on the South Course for a third place finish. Peterson shot 102, Ayden Montgomery 114 and Teague Thompson 115.
On the girls side, Addison Skranak led the Lady Loggers with a 121 and Lucy DeShazer 145.
