Kootenai Karacters to perform at Maki Sept. 7-10
The roads are flooded, the bridges are washed out and less generous souls are staying safely indoors, but it takes more than a little rain to keep the ladies of the Charitable
Sisterhood from fulfilling their sworn mission.
When the ladies of the Second Trinity Victory Church organize a relief effort for homeless Guatemalans, little did they realize how complicated sorting through a massive pile of donations could be, especially when that pile reveals a mysterious surprise.
As each other’s secrets are revealed they ultimately end up helping each other far more than the stricken Guatemalans.
“The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church” is set in 1977 just outside Pennington Gap, Virginia.
This hilarious and heart-warming comedy written by Bo Wilson, presented by the Kootenai Karacters, and starring Jolee Holder, Jenece Scheer, Trish Emmert, Laurie Walsh and Krysten Mossburg, will be performed at the Maki Theater on Sept. 7-9 at 7 p.m., with a matinee performance on Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.
