James Lewis Haines

James Lewis Haines passed away on Oct. 12, 2023, in Odessa, Washington.

He was born in Libby, Montana to Orville and Bernice Haines on Sept. 22, 1948.

In September of 1971 he married the love of his life Cathy Leavitt. They just celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. Together they raised their 3 children who are loved more than life itself. Tanyaa (Troy) Kilham, James M. Haines and Jeremy Haines all of Moses Lake, Washington.

Jim is survived by his wife Cathy, brothers Charles (Charlene) Haines, William Haines and sister Betty Ann Decker. He leaves behind five grandchildren and two great-grandsons who will cherish him forever.

Jim was preceded in death by brother Wayne Haines.

Jim was a hard worker and family man who loved the outdoors. In the summertime you would find him outside working in the yard or sitting on the front porch enjoying life. He loved his Gonzaga Bulldogs. GO ZAGS!

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at Odessa Foursquare Church, 111 E. 1st Ave, Odessa, Washington.
