Harol Marshall Leffler

Harold Marshall Leffler, 96, passed away on Oct. 17, 2023, in Eureka, Montana.

He was born on March 8, 1927, to Emil and Elsie Leffler in Hinsdale, Illinois. He was named after Harold Marshall Sylvester Richards Sr. otherwise known as H.M.S. Richards Sr., a well known Seventh-Day Adventist evangelist, who was a fellow classmate of Emil’s at the Washington Missionary College.

Harold and his younger brother Richard grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan. Later the family moved to Albion, Michigan. Harold married Beverly Jane Wheeker, on a balmy Dec. 22, 1957, in Pontiac Michigan. In 1961, Harold and Beveryly moved to Niles, Michigan, where they raised their three sons. Harold was involved in education in the Niles school system.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, brother and wife.

Harold is survived by sister-in-laws Lois and Donna; brother-in-law Willard; sons Doug (Cyndi) of Eureka, Montana, David (Yolanda) of Oroville, Washington, and Dr. Dale (Mary) of St. Joseph, Michigan. Also surviving Harold are nine grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel), Lauralea, Aaron, Christian, Seth, Grace, Josh, Brendan, Caleb and three great-grandchildren Emily, Elyssa, Luke, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the care of the Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Eureka.
