Sleep Center at Cabinet Peaks receives national accreditation

The Sleep Center at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is delighted to announce its recent program accreditation from the highly respected American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). 

This accreditation solidifies the Sleep Center's vital role within the local medical community, ensuring the delivery of academic, scientific and the highest quality patient care for individuals suffering from sleep disorders.

In achieving this esteemed five-year accreditation, the Sleep Center has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare, exceeding the rigorous standards set forth by the AASM. 

These standards encompass critical areas including personnel qualifications, facility and equipment specifications, policy and procedure adherence, data acquisition practices, patient care and quality assurance protocols. Moreover, the center has clearly defined its objectives, outlining plans to positively impact the quality of medical care within the community it serves.

Founded in 1977, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine is recognized as the pioneer in accrediting sleep disorders centers, with over 2,600 AASM-accredited centers currently in operation throughout the country.

Under the dedicated leadership of Dr. Deborah Hoffman, the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Sleep Center, located at 350 Louisiana Ave., stands as a beacon of excellence in the field of sleep medicine.

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine, a professional medical society dedicated to clinicians, researchers and healthcare providers in sleep medicine, serves as the national accrediting body for sleep disorders centers. 

The AASM's mission is to enhance sleep health and advocate for high-quality, patient-centered care through education, strategic research and practice standards.
