Jackie Lynn Weist

On the evening of April 19, 2023, Jackie Lynn Weist passed away as a result of stage 4 lung cancer while being surrounded and comforted by many of her close family members.

Jackie was 68 years old when she passed.

Jackie was born in Libby, Montana on Feb. 18, 1955. She was the second daughter of Francis Spoonemore and Fannie Logsdon.

Jackie was a very loving, outgoing woman. She created bonds with everyone she met. Jackie was the most selfless person you could meet and would do anything and everything she possibly could to ensure she helped everyone who needed it.

Jackie’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren. She also loved to play on her computer and spend time with her close friends.

Jackie worked a lot and loved to meet new people. Her favorite job was being a disc jockey at a radio station in Butte, Montana. Her job at the time of her passing was at Aware in Anaconda, Montana, where she would help children.

Jackie grew up in Libby, Montana and later moved for more opportunities.

Jackie is survived by her sister Lana Bache, of Belgrade, and her brother Shawn Ball. She has one son, Travis (Lona) Weist. She also has one daughter, Kari Weist. She is also survived by grandchildren Kaleb (Katie), Keenan, Kenzie, Dawson, Brian, Nick, Amber, Taylor and one other grandson. She is also survived by ex-husband Jim Weist.

Jackie had many friends who loved her dearly. She will be missed by many.

There will be a memorial (celebration of life) held for Jackie this summer.
