Libby High School students excel at state music festival

Several Libby High School students participated and received superior scores in the state music festival in Missoula on May 5. One ensemble received a perfect score.

At the district music festival in Kalispell, which propelled the students to state, Lorraine Braun's choir students enjoyed outstanding performances.

Braun said the full choir received a superior, superior and excellent for its performance and were perfect in the sight reading portion.

The following students received superior ratings and advanced to state.

Duet: Livia Haddock and Kenna Haddock. Duet: Elaina Covington and Keyera Haischer. Solo: Keyera Haischer. Ensemble: Kenna Haddock, Livia Haddock, Lylla Pape, Rachael Smith, Aubry Stull, Faith Erickson. Ensemble: Kenna Haddock, Livia Haddock, Keyera Haischer, Dustin Heindel, Hayden Jones, Rachael Smith.

The following students received excellent ratings.

Solo: Aubry Stull. Ensemble: Elaina Covington, Briana Filler, Hayden Jones, Bryson Thompson. Trio: Elaina Covington, Lylla Pape, Aubry Stull. Duet: Lylla Pape and Aubry Stull. Solo: Rachael Smith. Solo: Dustin Heindel.
