In defense of logging, not burning

It escapes me why people think that our only solution to forest managementis by prescribed fire!

Thinning yes, prescribed fire, no.

Why waste trees? Yes waste, up in smoke that we have to breath for months every year.

Is our government really concerned about carbon emissions? I think not!

What's wrong with logging? You are at least using the trees instead of burning them up. Don't try to condition us into believing that burning trees is more beneficial than using them.

How can you talk about exploitation of resources in one breath then turn around and tell us about prescribed burning?

I expect that the people who make these decisions are not breathing this smoke for months on end.

Is it possible that there is another agenda here?
