NOTICE OF MOBILE HOME AND REAL PROPERTY TAXES DUE All 2023 mobile home taxes in Lincoln County have been mailed. Please check your bills over carefully. When making payments please remit your stubs; for inquiries please provide your tax payer number(s) from your statement(s). If you have not received your bill(s) please contact the Lincoln County Treasurer’s office immediately at 406-283-2402. The first half of the 2023 mobile home taxes is due by 5:00 p.m. on or before May 31, 2023. Unless the first half is paid by this date, the amount payable is delinquent and draws interest at the rate of 5/6 of 1% a month from and after the delinquency until paid and 2% must be added to the delinquent taxes as a penalty (MCA 15-24-202). The second half of all Lincoln County real estate taxes is due by 5:00 p.m. on or before May 31, 2023. Request for Qualifications Fire Risk Evaluators Lincoln County is soliciting for one qualified individual to complete Fire Risk Assessments for proposed subdivisions.  This RFQ is intended to create a pool of experienced evaluators that will assist in reducing wildfire risks in Lincoln County’s wildland-residential interface by making recommendations for appropriate fuels mitigation in each new subdivision.   Qualifications must demonstrate:  1) wildland fire suppression experience/education; 2) ability to complete a comprehensive assessment of existing hazardous fuels conditions and recommend mitigation measures; 3) ability to write a clear and concise plan; and 4) ability to communicate effectively. LEGAL NOTICE Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is initiating public scoping on a potential purchase of a conservation easement in Flathead and Sanders counties. FWP is working with The Trust for Public Land (TPL) and Green Diamond Resource Company on a proposed project to place 47,907 acres of highly productive timberland in the Thompson River drainage under conservation easement. Comments received from this preliminary evaluation will help FWP determine public interest, identify potential issues that would require further analysis, and may provide insight for refining the proposal or for developing and analyzing one or more alternatives. Upon completion of the preliminary evaluation, FWP will determine next steps, which may include conducting an environmental analysis with additional opportunity for public input or taking no further action on the proposed project.
