During a weekend in which Libby was bustling with activity, the young motorcycle riders at the Millpond Motocross course provided the biggest thrills.

Competitors came from across the region, including Montana, Idaho and Washington and Canada, too. Northwest Montana was was well represented, too, as the field was dominated by racers from Libby, the Flathead Valley and Plains.

Race organizers were happy with the turnout of 236 spectators and the sale of raffle tickets.

“There were 49 volunteers who worked to keep things running safe and smooth,” organizer Jenn Remp said. “We appreciate everyone’s help because it takes a lot of people to put on the event.”

Libby racers accounted for six wins in the 18 events. Jaxon Uithof won two races, including the 250 Beginner and 450 Beginner classes.

Libby also saw Cash Remp win the 50cc, 7-8-year-old class, Alli Clemons took the Girls 14-and-under event, Sidney Clemons won the Women’s class event and Skyler Higareda was tops in the 250 Junior class.
