Russell Dickerson to play Northwest Montana Fair
The 2023 Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo will feature a performance by rising country star Russell Dickerson, along with three nights of PRCA Rodeo action and a Big Air Bash.
The fair is scheduled for Aug. 16-20 at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell.
Tickets for the concert and all other grandstand events are now available for purchase at the fair office and online at www.nwmtfair.com.
Dickerson is known as a high-energy, fun-loving singer/songwriter whose hits include Platinum chart-toppers “Yours,” “Blue Tacoma,” “Every Little Thing,” “Love You Like I Used To,” and “She Likes It.” He recently released his third album through Triple Tiger Records, featuring 15 tracks that represent a fusion of different musical genres and eras that combine to produce a vibrant country sound.
After graduating from Nashville’s Belmont University, Dickerson hit the road with his self-written songs, often relying on his wife for not just inspiration, but photography, video production and more.
As his car’s odometer racked up miles, Dickerson said it became tough figuring out “something country fans would like.”
“I told myself ‘I’m just gonna keep going,’” Dickerson said. “‘I’m gonna keep driving my run-down SUV all across America playing for 25 people and 250 bucks a night, until something happens.’” Eventually dismissing the idea he could figure out what fans wanted, Dickerson instead embraced what he liked, and 2015’s “Yours” was the result, followed by several more hit songs.
Dickerson will perform on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
