Lincoln County Republican Central Committee meeting Aug. 10

The Lincoln County Republican Central Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at North Point Grill in Eureka to elect its officers.

According to Lincoln County Republican Central Committee Chair Jennifer Curtiss, the gathering will take place in the meeting room, located at 1821 Highway 93 North.

In addition to the election of officers, other necessary business will be discussed.

For those unable to attend, officers may designate (in writing) another elector from their precinct to exercise their voting privilege.

No person other than a duly elected or appointed officer of the committee is entitled to participate in the proceedings of the committee.

C-Ya Steve Raven Run set for Saturday

The C-Ya Steve Raven Run will be at RMV Auto Repair Saturday in Libby.

It is open to any special interest vehicle. Hot dogs and burgers will be served after the cruise. Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs, a dish to pass and their beverages of choice. Bottled water will be provided. There will be T-shirts to give away and three prize categories.

RMV Auto Repair is located at 34474 U.S. 2 Libby. The driver's meeting is at 9:30 a.m.

Kootenai Harvest Festival set for Sept. 16

The Eighth Annual Kootenai Harvest Festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Riverfront Park.

Interested vendors can pick up an application at the Libby Chamber of Commerce or download a copy at the website, www.libbychamber.org.

For those interested in being a sponsor, more information is on the website or by asking at the Libby Chamber. The festival will continue to offer and support the use of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), double-SNAP/EBT and Senior Nutrition Voucher by qualified vendors and for the locally sourced Harvest Meal that is served by the Gracious Table.

Cabinet View women's golf results

The Cabinet View Women’s Golf League met July 19 for a fun game of black ball.

A player gets a point for landing in the sand trap, hitting a tree or hitting out-of-bounds. The player with the fewest points wins.

Dee Wright was the winner for flight A while Marilee Brown and Donna Havens tied for flight B. Flight A low gross winner was Pat Neils and Phyll Mackey for Flight B.

Low net for Flight A was Dee Wright and Shirley Chase for Flight B. Pat Neils had a birdie on No. 7 and Dee Wright on No. 5.
