Officials ID man who died in crash near Happy's Inn
Officials have identified a Libby man who died in a traffic crash early Monday morning near Happy’s Inn.
Lincoln County Coroner Steve Schnackenberg identified the 42-year-old man as Christopher Parker.
According to a report by Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Virgil Sadewasser, Parker was driving a Chevy Silverado pickup truck east at 12:24 a.m. on U.S. 2 at milemarker 67 when it drifted off the right side of the road and hit the back side of a guardrail.
The vehicle continued off an embankment, rolled four times and hit a tall tree stump before coming to rest.
The man was not wearing a seat belt and speed was a suspected factor in the crash. Alcohol or drugs were not listed as factors.
