Andersen’s 26 points lead Loggers over TFalls

Tyler Andersen scored 26 to lead the Libby boys basketball team to a 54-50 win over Thompson Falls last Thursday.

Cy Williams was also in double digits with 14 points. Ryan Beagle scored six points while Caleb Moeller and Trevor Collins each had four points.

In the girls game, Thompson Falls won, 63-29.

Saturday, Libby was swept at Polson.

In the boys game, the Pirates got 34 points from Jarrett Wilson to top the Loggers, 71-59.

Tyler Andersen led Libby with 25 points. Moeller scored nine while Cy Williams and Connor Hartley each had eight points.

In the girls game, Polson won 39-27. Maddie Vincent scored 10 for Libby while Rylee Boltz had eight.

On Thursday, the Troy boys team fell to Mission, 74-37, and the girls lost, 65-13.

Saturday, the Lady Trojans lost to Stillwater Christian, 58-19. Izzy Tunison led Troy with seven point and Autumn Fisher scored six.

In the boys game, Stillwater Christian beat Troy, 66-36.

Paxton Fisher scored 20 points for Troy (2-9).

Wrestling

At the Montana Class A Duals in Lewistown, the Libby Greenchain were 3-1 in their pool and finished in the top 8.

The Greenchain fell in their first match, 47-25, to Havre. But they beat Polson, 66-6, Whitefish, 69-6 and Lockwood, 42-36.

In the championship round, Libby beat Beaverhead County (Dillon/Twin Bridges/Sheridan), 54-24. In the quarterfinals, Columbia Falls topped the Greenchain, 63-12.
