Gloria Marie Cornwell

Gloria Marie Cornwell, 77, passed away peacefully at the Libby Care Center on Jan. 16, 2023, in Libby, Montana.

Gloria was born in Libby on June 13, 1945. She was married in 1963, and had two sons, Joey and Terry Daniels. In March 1988, Gloria married Jim Cornwell, the love of her life. They spent their lives together in Irrigon, Oregon, raising chickens, dogs, watching every western and hosting friends and family from afar.

She enjoyed going for long drives and traveling to visit family in Canada. Gloria was a dedicated caregiver in Irrigon and Libby and loved each patient for which she cared for.

She remarked that the hardest part of getting close was watching them leave this world. After Jim's passing, Gloria returned to Libby surrounded by the beautiful mountains and family that kept her heart.

Gloria was a charming woman, full of quick wit and never shied away from speaking directly. She always told the truth, without sugar coating, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cornwell; parents Leona Hill and Pete Borup; siblings Barbara McMillan, Dennis Borup, David Borup; and grandson Cannon Daniels.

She leaves behind a dysfunctional family that she was very proud of - her sons, Joseph (Susan) Daniels, Terry Daniels; grandchildren Haylie Daniels, Joseph Daniels, Londin (Cody) Browning; great grandson Liam; sister Becky (Bret) Croucher; and extra close nieces Chelsea Dodd and Dezarae Dodd.

As was in her nature, Gloria planned details of her passing down to the letter, requesting that no services be held.
