Troy Lady Trojans win first game
The Troy Trojans chalked up their second win of the season, hammering Alberton on the road, 76-25, Saturday.
Troy (2-6) led 23-6 after one quarter of action and never looked back.
Trevor Grant led the Trojans with 20 points while Paxton Fisher scored 19 and Carson Orr had nine points.
The Alberton Panthers, who previously played in a co-op with Superior, fell to 0-8.
The win was a welcome end to a three-game week for the Trojans. They dropped games to Stillwater Christian, 62-45, on Tuesday and 81-15 to Bigfork on Thursday.
Against Stillwater, Fisher scored 18 points to lead the Trojans while Grant had 12 and Orr scored 10. Stillwater led 31-25 at halftime and built the lead to 13 after three quarters.
In the Bigfork game, the Vikings led 20-2 after the first quarter as the Trojans fell to 1-6. Grant and Orr each led Troy with four points.
For the Lady Trojans, they lost to Stillwater Christian, 65-16, on Tuesday and 92-10 to Bigfork on Thursday before beating Alberton, 48-16, on Saturday for their first win of the season.
In the Stillwater game, the Cougars led 26-0 after one quarter. Izzy Tunnison led Troy with six points.
Against Bigfork, the Valkries led 26-4 after one quarter and 58-4 at the half.
Brooklyn Reid led Troy (1-7) with six points while Tunison scored three.
