Helen “Marie” Martin

Helen “Marie” Martin, left this earth and went to be with her Lord on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022.

After her second battle with cancer, she passed peacefully at home with her husband and family members with her.

Marie was born on April 3, 1955, in Miami, Florida, to Jim and Helen Tease. She soon had two brothers and two sisters in the family with her. Growing up, her family moved back and forth from Florida to Tennessee.

Marie met her husband, Craig Martin, at the beginning of 1976, when he was in the Army stationed in Florida. When Craig got out of the Army he returned to Montana in September of that year, got a job, Marie moved to Montana and they were married on Oct. 15, 1976.

Marie and Craig have two children, Wendy (husband is Bob Webber) and son Logan (wife is Melissa). They now have four grandchildren.

They spent most of their life living and working in Lincoln County, first in the Libby area, and then moving to the family land in Troy. Marie had several jobs when they were first married, but she loved taking care of her grandkids the most. She loved the game scrabble, sewing, and reading her Bible.

Marie was a Christian and attended the Three Lakes Church in Troy for decades.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the Three Lakes Church in Troy.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to either Three Lakes Church, 136 Ring Loop Road, Troy, Montana 59935 or to the local cancer support group, Wings, P.O. Box 1160, Libby, Montana 59923.

Marie is in heaven now, but is loved and will be missed by many here on earth.
