Guy James Uithof

| February 10, 2023 7:00 AM

Guy James Uithof was born in Libby, Montana on Jan. 23, 1954, and passed away at Logan Health on Jan. 11, 2023.

Guy's parents were Harriet and Albert Uithof, sister Sandra Wells, who has passed, and brother Robert Uithof.

Guy graduated and left for Helena Vo Tech in Helena, Montana, and studied auto and diesel mechanics. This is where Guy met his wife Deanna Gibson and soon after married.

They had two daughters, Heidi Herbolich (Bill), their sons Tate Herbolich and Riley Herbolich of Helena, Montana, and Tennille Uithof of Kingston, New York.

Guy was an original member of the Libby Igniters Club where he found the love for working on all kinds of engines whether it be a truck or car or ATV.

In retirement Guy joined Fisher River Fire and Rescue and was with them for almost 10 years. Guy spent many hours every week on the trucks and answering calls as well as working on the fires in the area.

Guy's greatest joy was his two grandsons and spending every moment he could with them, whether it was at their games, riding 4 wheelers, swimming, boating, working in the garage on projects together and even teaching them to drive their big orange truck here on Crystal Lake.

Anything just to spend time with those two boys enjoying every single moment together.

Guy leaves behind his wife, two daughters, Heidi and Tennille, a son-in-law Bill, and his two most precious gifts, his grandsons.

A celebration of Guy's life will take place with his family later this year.
