Loggers 2-0 at Western A Tip-off Tournament
The Libby Loggers basketball team enjoyed a 2-0 weekend at the Western A Tip-off in Frenchtown last weekend.
On Saturday, the Loggers hammered Stevensville, 60-34. Cy Williams led the Loggers with 16 points while Tyler Andersen scored 14 and Aiden Rose added 11.
Ryan Beagle and David Beck each had six points while Tristan Andersen scored four.
The Loggers dominated from the start, outscoring the Yellowjackets 25-9 in the first quarter on the way to a 40-15 halftime lead.
Friday, the Loggers got a big night from Andersen to top the Park Rangers, 46-39. Andersen scored 21 points while teammate Ryan Beagle chipped in with seven points.
Rose and Tristan Andersen each scored four points while Cy Williams had five points, Isaac Lamere scored three and Chase Hartley had two.
Libby led 20-13 at halftime.
The Loggers opened the season at Frenchtown on Dec. 2 and lost 61-36.
The Loggers (2-1) played at Eureka Thursday in the Kootenai Challenge.
Libby hosts its first game Thursday, Dec. 21, against Hamilton.
