Libby, Troy sports teams return to action

Fall sports season begins this week for Libby and Troy student-athletes.

The Logger golf teams actually began play last at Marias Valley Golf Course in Shelby. They were back in action Monday at Missoula Country Club, Tuesday at Double Arrow and Thursday at Mission Mountain.

Loggers football opens the season at home against Stevensville at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25.

The boys and girls cross country teams host the Libby Invitational at 10 a.m. Friday.

The girls volleyball team begins its season Friday and Saturday at the Columbia Falls Tip-Off Tournament.

The soccer teams play at Hamilton on Friday.

In Troy, the Trojans football team kicks off the 8-man season by hosting Darby on Friday, Aug. 25. Please note the game kicks off at 5 p.m.

The Lady Trojans volleyball squad begins action Thursday, Aug. 31, hosting Noxon at the Activity Center. The junior varsity match begins at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity at 7 p.m.
