Beagle claims singles championship at Libby Invitational

Local tennis aficionados enjoyed two full days of good weather and action spread across 122 matches April 21-22 at Rich Thompson Memorial Terrace in Libby.

For the boys team, Ryan Beagle was the winner of boys singles 1s and 2s.

Ayden Montgomery claimed the boys singles 3s and 4s bracket.

The doubles team of Trevor Collins and Alderic Martineau claimed third place in the 1s and 2s bracket.

For the Lady Loggers, the team of Allie Thorstenson and Ellie Andreessen were second in doubles 1s and 2s.

Ashley Freese and Maggie Fantozzi won the consolation bracket of 1s and 2s doubles and Marissa Hollingsworth was second in the 3s and 4s bracket.

Libby plays today at Stevensville before heading to the Bitterroot Invite on Saturday.

Libby returns home Saturday, May 13 for matches against Ronan and Polson. Libby will be the site of the divisional tournament on May 19-20.
