Libby, Troy track teams compete at Bigfork

The Libby Logger and Troy Trojan track and field teams competed well at last Saturday’s Bigfork Invitational.

The Lady Loggers scored 47 points to place fifth while Troy had one point and placed 13th.

Libby’s Aurora Smith won the 300-meter hurdles and was fourth in the 100 hurdles. Rylee Boltz was second in the high jump and 200-meter dash.

Bergen Fortner had a good day, placing third in the triple jump and 300 hurdles as well as fourth in the long jump.

For the boys, the Loggers were fifth with 49.75 points. The Trojans were ninth with 24 points.

On the boys side, Libby’s Mauro Vazquez-Otero was second in the 100 dash and Kasen Dash was fourth. 
Day won the 200 dash while Vazquez-Otero was third.

Trent Riddel was second in the javelin and David Beck was third in the discus. Tristen Andersen was tied for fourth in the high jump and Gabe Hollingsworth was fifth in the pole vault. Greysen Thompson was tied for fourth in the triple jump.

Troy’s 4x400 relay team was second. It included Marcus Hermes, Nolan Morris, Seth Newton and Kempton Sloan. Sloan tied for first in the high jump and was third in the triple jump.

Troy’s Marcus Hermes was fifth in the 800-meter run.
