Janice Tomcho
Janice Tomcho, loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, passed away on Sept. 12, 2022, surrounded by family.
While we miss her beyond measure, we will always remember the wonderful time spent with her and the amazing things she taught us.
Janice was born July 24, 1947, in Kalispell, Montana, to Myron and Violet Freese, where she grew up with her siblings, Ron, Phyllis, Myra and Jerry Freese.
Janice married George Tomcho in January 1968 and they moved to Libby where they became lifelong residents.
Janice worked at the mill and when it shut down she went to work for the Laborers Union and travelled for work spending much time at their other home in Elko, Nevada.
After retirement Janice moved back to Libby where she volunteered for the Care Center and spent time with friends and family. Janice had no shortage of friends.
Janice considered anyone a friend and would willingly help anyone out at any time. In addition to volunteering, her other favorite pastime was reading books, you would never find her without a book or two close by.
Janice’s grandchildren had a special place in her heart, she deeply loved spending time with them camping, going to yard sales, working on fun projects like puzzles and just being around them and enjoying their company.
Janice is survived by her son Greg and his wife Kris (grandchildren Kohl and Paige) and daughter Jodi and husband Vern (granddaughter Nichelle and her husband Kevin) as well as her siblings Phyllis (Ken) Stewart, Myra (Dale) Heindel and Jerry Freese along with many other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring 2023.
