Hunters sight in rifles for opening day

| October 18, 2022 7:00 AM

With the Montana general big game hunting season set to begin on Saturday, Oct. 22, area hunters are busy preparing for the big day.

One of many preparations includes sighting in rifles. Making sure the bullet goes where it is intended is a significant part of a quality hunt.

Libby resident Chris Bache and his son, Mason, sighted in their rifles on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Lincoln County Shooting Complex in preparation for the first day of the general hunting season on Oct. 22.

The range, which features several ranges for archery, handgun, shotgun and rifle shooting, is open daily all year.
