Lady Loggers volleyball falls in five to Browning

The Libby Lady Loggers volleyball team battled to a five-set defeat Friday against Browning.

Browning claimed the first two sets, 25-21, 27-25, before the hosts rallied for wins of 25-20 and 25-19. Browning prevailed in the fifth set, 15-8.

Rachel Kosters led the Lady Loggers with 22 assists, six kills and four aces. Kinzee Boehmler led the defense with nine digs.

Offensively, Lyndee McElmurry and Ashley Freese each had six kills while Molly Gotham had three aces from the service line.

The Lady Loggers were winners in the junior varsity (20-25, 25-17, 15-7 and 15-8) and froshmore (23-25, 25-18, 15-9 and 15-12) matches.

The Lady Loggers will compete in Blocktober this weekend in Butte before returning home to host Columbia Falls on Oct. 18 and Eureka on Oct. 22.
