Libby graduate inducted in Montana Tech Hall of Fame
A former Libby High School graduate was recently inducted into the Montana Tech Hall of Fame.
Lori (Stamy) Quinn graduated high school in 1995 before going on to star in basketball for the Orediggers.
Quinn, who was inducted on Oct. 21 at the Butte Country Club, finished her spectacular career as one of the program's all-time leading scorers (1,715 points).
Quinn was honored three times by the Frontier Conference, twice as a first-team all-conference selection, and once as an honorable mention. Quinn led the Frontier Conference in scoring in the 1997-98 season and was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American in 1998.
She graduated from Montana Tech in 1999 with a degree in Engineering Science.
She currently teaches math at Frenchtown High School. She and her husband, Mark, have two children, Eli and Mason. Her parents, Ed and Carolyn Stamy, are former residents of Libby.
