For our posterity

| November 4, 2022 7:00 AM

It’s election time again in America and Americans, historically, have voted their pocketbooks throughout her history.

The anomaly of 2020 notwithstanding, but proving ruinous not only for America but across the globe, will be saved for discussion at another time. As for now, the number one concern at the bottom of it all is the cost of energy: for energy is the spear head of all economic growth.

Currently, the Department of Energy has failed American big time. Being energy independent not only makes America strong but the world too. Affordable energy for the world makes everyone healthier, economies stronger and nations safer and more secure. A win-win situation for all!

None are saying that green energy isn’t needed, but it’s development should not be at the expense of Americas’ or any country’s security. The development of sustainable green energy, without the devastation of our environment is years off. Research and development must continue to increase the yield and reduce degradation by green energy production.

Otherwise, future generations will never enjoy a clean and healthy land. (see Prager U videos ‘Fossil fuels and green energy’ and ‘What’s wrong with wind and solar?’)

The social fabric of America is in a flux that hasn’t been seen since the 1960s. However the difference between now and than is disturbing. In the ‘60s the focus was on securing our right to free speech, breaking down social/economic barriers, promoting brotherly love and warning of the dangers of “Big Brother” controlling our lives.

Whereas today we see a stiffening of speech, an intolerance and exclusion towards tolerance and inclusion. Where hard work, sacrifice and perseverance to achieve ones goals in life is now scoffed at and replaced by an entitlement mentality. Somehow the idea of Big Brother, government, taking care of and/or controlling you from cradle to grave under the guise of “equity for all” (while relinquishing constitutional rights) is seen as evolutional.

The reality is that it’s communism, the mass killer, plain and simple. Have we lost the soul and spirit of JFK…”ask not what your country can do for you, rather ask what you can do for your country”?

Our education system has gone from leading the way to struggling to keep up. The Dept. of Education has failed America! Time for the states to re-establish responsibility in the classroom. Our future lies with our posterity being able to read, write and think at every grade level. When 45% (or less) of graduating seniors are proficient at the benchmarks for reading, English, math and science: it equates to a systemic failure in our education system.

Let’s do away with drag queen story telling and replace it with teaching children “how” to read! When cashiers are unable to count change backwards, let’s do away with “new math” and go back to standard mathematics.

The moral fabric of America is torn! Our country was founded and based on the simple understanding of the 10 Commandments. Living justly and peacefully with your fellow Americans meant taking individual responsibility. Responsibility to adhere to the law of the land, the Constitution, but to uphold the moral teachings of the bible. You needn’t be a diehard religious to understand this sound philosophy. Civility between citizens leads to a safer, peaceful society. Being responsible for yourself and caring for those in need brings people together. Humbles oneself to the understanding of others and gives purpose and meaning to life. So many young Americans today have not been and are not being taught this and find themselves empty, with little faith in themselves or others, perplexed and suffering from anxiety and loneliness.

So….what to do? Be safe, be secure, be vigilant, mostly be smart! Vote your pocketbook! Vote for prosperity for posterity!

And if you are fed up with the chaos in Washington D.C….Remember our constitution gives you the right to demand accountability from your elected officials!

A group of Americans are doing something about the discord in DC. I urge you to go online, look up Convention of the States. Go to COSAction.com. See how Article 5 of your constitution is paving the way for all Americans to have a secure future.
