Libby’s Cy Stevenson brings home shotput silver

Libby’s shot-put heaver Cy Stevenson earned a silver medal at the State Class A track and field meet last weekend in Butte.

Stevenson threw a 48-09 to land on the podium.

Whitefish’s Talon Holmquist took gold with a 57-08.50.

Stevenson’s performance led the Loggers, who saw a number of athletes post strong results at the meet.

In the boys high jump, Logger leaper Trey Andersen jump 6-0 to place third overall in the finals.

In the girls high jump, Lady Logger Rylee Boltz cleared 4-10 to place seventh in the finals. Boltz also placed eighth in the 400 run.

Logger Dawson Rose cleared 13-0 for third place in the pole vault.

Madison Caruthers clocked a 13.31 in the girls 100 meter sprint finals for ninth place.

In the 300 hurdles, Libby’s Bergen Fortner placed ninth and Aurora Smith placed 11th.
