Twins 1-hit Libby in 16-2 victory

WHITEFISH — Jake McIntyre homered and drove in five ruins, and three Glacier pitchers combined on a one-hitter in the Twins’ 16-2 win over Libby in Class A Legion baseball Wednesday.

McIntyre had an RBI single io spark a four-run second inning for the Twins (3-0), and drew a bases-loaded walk in a four-run fifth hat put his team up 12-0.

After Caden Williams hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning for Libby (0-2), Glacier countered with four more runs, capped by McIntyre’s three-run shot.

Mikey Glass went 3-for-3 and scored four times for the Twins, who took advantage of five errors and eight walks by the Loggers. Kellen Kruger had two hits and drove in three runs.

Glass also threw the first two innings on the mound. Hayden Meehan took over for four innings and got the win. He gave up one hit, two walks and two runs; he struck out five.
