Troy man dies in traffic accident on Montana 56
A Lincoln County man died on June 14 from injuries he sustained in a traffic accident on June 11 near Troy.
According to Montana Highway Patrol, the man, was driving a Ford Escape north on Montana 56 at about 10:51 a.m. on June 11 when the vehicle drifted off the right side of the road.
The vehicle struck a culvert and several roadside fixtures before rolling on to its roof. He was taken to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. He later died on June 14 at Logan Health.
According to MHP, the man was not wearing a seat belt. The road conditions were described as wet. Alcohol, drugs and speed were not suspected in the crash.
MHP was notified of the death on July 7.
