James K. DeShazer

James K. DeShazer, 80, of Warrick County, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at his home.

James was born in Eureka, Montana, on October 26, 1941, to the late Tom and May DeShazer.

He attended school in Libby, Montana, before serving in the Navy and then the Air Force. After his service he attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, earning a degree in electrical engineering.

He was recruited by ALCOA and spent time in Washington, Wales, Suriname and Alcoa, Tennessee, before coming to the Warrick Operations in 1979 and retiring in 1995.

He is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter.

James is survived by his wife, Nellie; daughter, Cricket Provo (Mark) of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Christina Nash (Spencer) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Tyler Helms (Jancee) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Cole Helms of Evansville, Indiana; Catherine Provo of Memphis, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren; brother, Tom DeShazer of Reedsport, Oregon; stepsons, Mike Schikora of Farmersville, Texas; Don Schikora (Dee) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one step granddaughter; two step great-grandchildren; first wife, Christina R.J. Davoust of Newburgh, Indiana.

No services will be held at this time.
