The City of Troy Montana is seeking bid proposal from qualified firms to conduct air sampling of their gravel pit for natural occurring asbestos. Sampling must be taken during work activities when the City or County employees are performing work. This work may include hauling and stockpiling of materials, mass excavation of existing materials, and/or aggregate crushing activities. Sampling activities will include personal monitoring, area monitoring and fugitive dust monitoring. The qualified firm will provide all labor and equipment to conduct the air monitoring and analyzing of the samples taken. PCM air samples will only be analyzed by laboratories accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) or laboratories that participate in the AIHA proficiency analytical testing (PAT) program and that have received a "proficient" rating. Submittals * A written Sampling Plan * A written Data Evaluation Report of the monitoring results * Qualification of the Industrial Hygienist (IH) who wrote the Sampling Plan and Data Evaluation Report.
